Information
The cultivation of Chinese herbal medicine has been a popular project in recent years. Some ordinary agricultural growers have begun to try to plant medicinal materials. Coptis chinensis is one of them. Its medicinal value is high, the sales are wide, and the economic benefits are high. However, because many farmers are first exposed to huanglian cultivation, so I don't know much about the management of Coptis chinensis planting technology. In fact, just like the grape crops, we must do well in the process of fertilization, pruning and prevention of plant diseases and insect pests.
  Coptis chinensis planting environment
Coptis chinensis is a relatively commonly used Chinese herbal medicine and has certain requirements for the growth environment. Generally, the plantation of Coptis chinensis should be selected from the woodland with relatively large shading degree, which can be planted under natural forest trees. The tree height should be about 3.3m, and the slope should be between 20-25 degrees.
Coptis chinensis does not have high requirements on soil. It is better to choose soil rich in organic matter, deep humus, and solid pine. It is not suitable to choose sticky dead yellow mud and white eel mud.
Before planting Coptis chinense, the park should be cleaned up to remove fallen leaves, broken branches, weeds, etc., so as to avoid spreading pests and diseases in the soil.
Requirements for fertilization of Coptis chinensis
Coptis also has a certain demand for fertilizers. The base fertilizer should be applied during planting. The seedlings can be irrigated with thin pig manure water or decomposed vegetable cake water, or finely divided compost, or about 1000 kg per mu of manure. In September-October of that year, fertilize once every 2 to 5 years after planting and in September-October 2-4 years, a total of 8 times before and after.
Usually, the Coptis chinensis fertilization can use balanced water-soluble fertilizer, or 10 kg of urea and 20-30 kg of calcium phosphate, mixed with fine soil or fine compost and spread.
Coptis chinensis to prevent diseases and insect pests
Coptis chinensis is also affected by pests and diseases, mainly powdery mildew, grubs and mole crickets, etc. For the prevention and control of pests and diseases, light can be appropriately increased to reduce the probability of disease occurrence. At the same time, physical control methods are used to catch and kill pests. The seeds and flowers of Coptis chinensis feed on it, so fences should be fenced to reduce damage.
